Kevin was born and raised in Reno, Nevada, where he attended Bishop Manogue High School and proudly played Varsity Football. His love for sports carried into his college years at the University of Nevada, Reno, where he not only earned dual bachelor’s degrees but also became a devoted Wolf Pack fan, attending nearly every football and basketball game. To this day, Kevin remains a passionate sports enthusiast — he rarely misses a Vikings game, and if he’s on shift, he records it to enjoy later. UNR games are still a favorite family tradition in the household.

In 2014, fate brought Kevin and Kat together through a golden retriever puppy named Max. What started as occasional updates and photos of the growing pup soon turned into a deeper connection. Kat began visiting Kevin’s dental office, and before long, sparks were flying. Their first official date sealed the deal: a night of laughter and dancing in the kitchen that turned into a love story they both knew was special. They moved in together quickly, expanding their little family with golden retrievers Poppy and, later, Busicut, one of Max and Poppy’s puppies.

Their relationship grew through years of shared adventures and travel, leading to a beautiful wedding on September 4, 2021. Not long after, they welcomed their daughter, Ava, in July 2022, followed by their son, Arthur, in late 2024. Family life has become their greatest joy, filling their days with love, laughter, and plenty of golden retriever cuddles.

Kevin is also an avid outdoorsman and big game hunter, a passion that has given him patience, focus, and respect for nature — qualities that carry over into his professional life. Beyond the outdoors, he has a natural mechanical ability and can fix just about anything, whether it’s a broken truck, a household repair, or a complex project. This hands-on problem-solving skill, combined with his determination to see a task through, mirrors the adaptability and resourcefulness firefighters rely on in the field.

Together, Kevin and his family enjoy camping, lake days, and off-road adventures in side-by-sides. Whether gathered around with good food or exploring the outdoors, they treasure time spent together with family and friends. For Kevin, family isn’t just important — it’s the center of everything he does.
